My new bag!

So I made a new bag last week. I have about 10 unfinished projects but I decided to make a bag last week so I pushed them all to the side and made one. I wish I had a tutorial to share with you all, but I really just made up the pattern as I went. I really like the way it turned out. And I made it with two shirts that my brother gave me like a year ago. So it didn't cost much either.

And here is a closeup of the ruffle. That is my favorite part!

I love it! The only thing I would do different next time is make it taller.

Matching Hoodies!

So I came across a pattern on etsy. I really liked it. And, it wasn't just a girl's pattern. It could be something for a boy or a girl. I was in love. So I made my first ever purchase on etsy. I bought this Hoodie pattern. Cute no? You should check out her whole shop because she has lots of cute stuff. And no, I am not getting paid to say that. :)

So I got right to work. I didn't want to have to buy fabric, so I used some t-shirts that I had gotten at the thrift store a while back. Actually, some of you who know my husband may recognize that green shirt. He has been wearing it for years. And it is paper thin. So I convinced him that I needed to cut it up to make something adorable for Zac. I guess it worked because he let me use it. Thanks!


Anyway, so I took those two shirts and made them into this:

I was so happy with the result and how fast it came together that the next night I made one for sister:

She was seriously so excited to have one that matched her brother's. She pointed it out to me all day long. I especially love the mismatched buttons.

T shirt fabric is just the right thickness too. I think that if it were thicker, it would be hard for them to move in them.

It was really hard to get Zac to look anywhere but at Sadie's buttons. He tried to grab them like the whole time.

And then Sadie insisted that I take more pictures of her.

Shoes for Zac

I found a baby bootie pattern like 2 years ago and never got around to making any for Sadie, but I finally dug it out and made some for Zac. They are stinking cute! I love them! And they stay on his feet too!

Ear Candy

I don't know if that is a real saying, but I am going to use it from now on. I have been making ear candy... aka earrings! I love it! It is so fun. I love to wear earrings, but I never find any that I like. What I like about these ones is that they are just the right size for me. Not too big.

I have made about 6 or 7 pairs since I took that picture. Don't ask me what I am going to do with all of these earrings I am making...who knows. I just get going on something and I can't stop! haha. Maybe I will have a giveaway on this here blog. You will just have to check back to see if that happens. :)

Skirt

I made this skirt for a friend of mine. I really like it. I want one for me. Maybe I will make one. I've got some other things to do first though. I am really looking forward to going home for Christmas because I love being around my family and stuff. But also, because my mom has this awesome craft room that I am hoping to spend some time in while I am there. :) Maybe I will make myself a skirt or two for Christmas??? Sounds good to me!

Christmas Shirts

I made some more 90 minute shirts. They are so fun and easy to make. This time I made them in Christmas colors. I made one for my son and one for my friend's son who is two weeks younger than my son. I can't wait to see them both wearing their Christmas shirts together!

Here is my little guy in his shirt. I think I actually might make him a green one too...because that one is cute too! :)
